MUD 133 2025 Tax Rate

After careful consideration and discussion during recent meetings, Fort Bend Municipal Utility District 133 has approved a new tax rate of $1.1732 per $100 of assessed valuation for 2025.

The new rate represents a decrease of $.0268 per $100 of assessed value as compared to the prior year.

With tax season coming out, the Precinct 4 Constables Office would like to remind you to please pay closer attention to your surroundings, as bank jugging will probably be on the rise. What is bank jugging? Bank jugging is a crime that is committed by a person who watches and follows people that withdrawal money from a bank or ATM and then steal their cash. Typically the person withdrawing money is followed until an opportune time is available to steal the cash. Crime prevention tips:

  • Always check your surroundings
  • Routinely lock your vehicles
  • Remove all and any valuables from your vehicle or keep them out of plain view
  • Park vehicles in the garage or driveway

Another crime that has been popular and on the rise is scamming. What is a scam? A scam is any means someone uses to get you to part with your money. They play on our emotions or promise big payoffs to get us to act. Scammers also pose as people, agencies, and companies you know and trust. Scams can occur over the telephone, though the mail, over the internet, or in person. Crime prevention tips:

  • Don’t send or wire money to anyone you do not know
  • Do not give out credit card information unless you are initiating a known transaction
  • Do not reply to emails of phone calls requesting financial information or Social Security number.
  • Be sure to contact your financial institution directly if you have any questions or concerns.
